- A very artificial issue and

your point has been pointed out before.
The part I find interesting in the article is that Windows XP was
mentioned as an OS that offers the ease of Plug 'n Play and the
only negative comment with a brand name mentioned was, what
else? Apple's iPod. This is a second or third attempt by ZDNet
to demonize the iPod. They don't demonize the little "keychain"
128 or 256 MB USB disks, they didn't mention the brand name of
a smart card, they didn't mention the brand name of a camera or
even a Rio, Creative or Sony something.
I think THAT's the point of this article is to subtly boost Windows
XP as advanced (MS needs the sales badly) and to dish the iPod,
as huge a success in changing lifestyles as any electronic
product ever invented.
Why don't organizations just come up with DRM for peripherals
that can be attached to the network and follwo what they up and
download. Isn't that the kind of work computers are supposed
to do anyway? - Posted by: brand police Posted on: 09/28/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
