Isn't this an artificial issue?
I am a bit perplexed concerning the issue raised,
Isn't the USB port just like a floppy drive or a CD-RW drive? You can get data on your computer or off your computer using them. You can even boot from them. And I hope these possibilities will not be blocked in the name of some mysterious "security concern". You want to have access to your computer.

If you do not want others to access your computer using the USB port or any of the disc drives, well
then lock your office door. Nobody is going to sneek in through the Internet and attach a spy Ipod to your USB port.

So what is the issue here, except that when I buy a computer I want to have unlimited access to it, not a BIOS that prevents to use my repair disk to boot or my camera to connect.
