USB Issues
USB devices are ver convenient and easy to use for the home user. That stated, the business environment has some accepted and tolerated restrictions on ease of use. It is true that an unscrupulous employee will find a way to broadcast sensitive data while an industrious one will find a way to obtain the information he needs if work must be done off the corporate network such as at home.

Frankly there is no real need for all workers to attach their I-Pod or other device of choice to the work PC. If I want music I burn a CD at home and play it on my portable CD player. If you want music, download to your hearts content on the I-Pod AT HOME and listen at work. If you want customized wallpaper, email the photo to yourself. It appears that most of the backlash for USB restrictions comes from people who have co-mingled their personal and work areas too much.

Some may say ?well my CxO will demand that he needs access and there goes the whole policy thing??They also get special parking spaces. However, the average user shouldn?t have the functionality if it?s unnecessary.
