At last, a user who posts something more than just rantings about a fait accompli. The debate WIN/OSS will rage long and acidly long after the issue of GDI+ is dead and buried. The issue IMHO is not which is better, but which is right for the task at hand. As a user of both systems and a supplier of services to large business there is merit for both. The sooner both sides work this out and develop some cooperation in the name of IT the better for an industry that has had its credibility seriously dented by FUD such as Y2K and Dot.Bomb. Business, the people that fund us are tired of experiencing IT as a demander of funding for smoke and mirrors projects that deliver little real value.
