A challenge!
Anyone surfing the internet as root deserves what they get. Depending on how the system is set up, a single root-level command COULD have less-than-dire results - but probably not. Damage would most probably be confined to that one machine.

When someone is logged on as Guest and surfing, they can pick up a virus. This virus could lay in wait until the Guest uses e-mail. This launches the virus (to multitudes of people - perhaps), and now its up to the virus protectors to battle the virus.

One note here: There are exploits for gaining elevated permissions on both types of OS - but it could be said that it is much easier to do it on Windoze. That said, only Windoze can be affected by a virus - that gains Administrator rights. Linux - by its design - cannot contract a virus.
