In order to rise above the din and be heard by the masses, you need to resort to superlatives. John Madden on Monday Night Football uses them all the time. Every player he talks about seems to be the best there ever was.

The good side here is that the intellectuals will be able to tell the difference, and the masses will let the message go in one ear and out the other. Only the zealots will take these to heart.
