Hire an Embezzler?
Actually, I WOULD consider hiring an embezzler as an
accountant!

This is assuming I was in charge of a huge chain of hotels, for
example.

I might hire a convicted embezzler, assuming he actually had an
MBA.

But I wouldn't trust him. And he wouldn't have account access.
I would hire him to JUST watch for other embezzlers.

He'd be my touchstone. I'd send him around to all the
businesses looking for fraud. With a partner I COULD trust.

And assuming he got any convictions and/or saved me money,
I'd even give him a raise !

But trust him? NO WAY. And that's fine.

In the case of the hacker, again I assume this individual would
have the skills.

And I'd send him around with a 'minder' to check for attacks,
Trojans, weaknesses.

His computer usage would be monitored. His reports to me
would be via typewriter !

But then hey, what do I know? I use Macs, mostly. In my
opinion, if the IT industry really wanted to cut down on exploits,
they'd use Mac OS X Server for their internet gateways.

Hide the PCs behind the Mac OS X Firewall, keep them on
internal networks only.
