Yeah, this is going to work
It's amazing to me how much people are willing to put up with for the illusion of safety.

Even in our open and unsuspecting time before 9-11 we had a lot of clues those bozos were up to something, we just never acted on them. We didn't have passenger screening and there's no evidence it would've stopped what happened. But it is a handy way to bust into the personal business of millions of honest Americans.

If we allow safety concerns to undermine our freedoms and justify every petty police and government intrusion into our life, especially without some evidence those measures are effective, then the terrorists scored a much bigger victory than knocking down a couple buildings.
