I agree with you
Our spam gateway a few months ago was running at about 60% of all incoming email being spam, but recently, that is well up over 80%, and I had to retune it a week ago because more spam than usual was sneaking through. My take on it, is that more and more companies are switching to using (or tuning to more aggressive) some sort of anti-spam system. As a result of that, spammers are having to increase the amount of spam and the types of the spam they send, in order to maintain their status quo saturation levels in regard to number of emails ultimately making it through to end user boxes.
