If I had to make one request:
Please, please, I beg of you: return us to the days of the talkback post preview?

I'm guessing the feature was eliminated because of server load, but quite possibly you could do the same feature clientside using ECMAscript? The basic algorithm would be to grab the text from the textbox, use the regexps functions to replace the carriage return with
tags and the braces with angle brackets. Then open a separate window containing a template, stuff the results of the regexp parse into the template using innnerHTML and then display. For those browsers that don't support the necessary ECMAscript, the template could contain a message like, "Preview not supported".

This sort of clientside arrangement would have low server load (the template is a static page) and fairly good compatibility. Regexps and InnerHTML are supported back to IE5 and Gecko M18.

And you can ignore my bottom-most comment. This looks =much= better.
