hell, they teach how to write a virus in college
I had a class where the professor literally taught us the basics, then had us write our own. It was in a closed 3 PC network with no internet access, to test them. It gave us insight on how the virus works and propogates through systems. I actually found it quite interesting, and I don't know if they offer this kind of thing in other universities. It's simply to give you the idea of how a virus works.
