You just made a point for me that
the Linux / UNIX crowd has been trying to get the Windows folks to see. Diversity, security by design. Yes, I am sure there are some *NIX boxes out there that are not patched. I have no doubt about it. But the point is simple, a bigger statement can be made by taking the UNIX's offline in large numbers. But just by thier diversity it makes the task daunting and most likely impossible.

Yes all systems have flaws, yes all OS's need patching. But the fact is still there, people will write virus's and other nefarious code for any platform they can infect... it just so happens that Windows is easier than most to infect. I am waiting for the user base to decrease to see if I am correct in that it's not the sheer number of Windows PC's but the sheer incompetance of it's design.
