Well I guess you missed my point
"Also market share might be something useful in your mind, but not everyone follows the goose, or howver that saying goes."

Market share doesn't mean much for many purposes. BUT, when it comes to the effectiveness of spreading a virus, it makes a world of difference. If you are a _virus writer_, and you get to pick a platform, which one will you pick? The one that has 2% market share, or the one with 95% market share? What do you think the goal of the virus writer is? Well, it is to hit as many machines as possible in as short a time as possible. If one platform has 48 TIMES(!!!) as many users, which one do YOU think they will target? So my point is that if the same vulnerability exists for both platforms at the same time, with the same level of effort required to exploit it on both systems, which one makes more sense?

My analogy here is when you say that your house is more secure than the bank two blocks away. I mean, the bank has been broken into twice in the last year, yet your house has not. Conclusion: Your house is more secure than the bank. Can you see how flawed that logic is? Now let's move the contents of the bank into your house, and let's see how secure it really is... So my point is that if there's only a tiny fraction of Mac users, why on earth would the virus writers spend time/effort/risks for such a tiny, pathetic "return" (whatever their twisted motivation is). For the same effort they can hit a 48 TIMES larger target. Gee, I wonder which platform they will choose??

So, sorry, my foot was most certainly not in my mouth, you just didn't understand basic math.
