Are you insane?
These flaws were in apps included with the OS. Unlike windows,
where they'd be welded to the OS. Also MS would take 3 to 6
months to fix, the patch would break other software and include
an even more restrictive EULA. Not to mention MS would blame
the Admins for all the hacks to the lame crappy OS called
windows.

Also of note, the patch was out in a timely manner and doesn't
cause problems with the apps or OS. Bet you can't say the same
for SP2 can you?
