As long as a known policy is in place
and new hires are oriented to it, it's quite acceptable for mgmt to let go of persons intentional ly violating the policy. One should assume that if a policy exists and has been made known to the work population for a particular business then some sort of monitoring is in place to track and record intentionally violations. Otherwise, the gray area is some what contestable, no none policy, a degree of ignorance comes into play and automatic firing becomes either a review and probationary period or a warning. Depends on the biz.
