I haven't heard that name for it before. That's much more fitting than Shorthorn.

Now to not have completely wasted anyone's time loading the page... Berlind mentioned that OSX has their on-the-fly style 'su' (not RunAs, as it's built on Unix), after stating that he runs a pair of Redhat 9 boxes he failed to mention that doing anything in XWindows that requires root privileges will prompt you for the root password as well. Linux does need to be a little more user friendly before it dominates the industry. Until then, anyone with a spare box around should toss a copy of Linux on it and prepare themselves for the future. As easy to use as Windows can be, and as polished looking as it is, security outweighs everything else in the long run. The future of computing is open-source, just look at science, history, math, etc.

Note: I am not a Linux zealot. I have been a Windows user since Win 3.0. However, my laptop will run nothing but RedHat as long as I'm hooking into other people's networks.
