This surprises you?
As a computer programmer, this just bears out what I have always known to be true. Privacy is impossible to completely protect on a computer. There will ALWAYS be some risk of your privacy being invaded when a computer is used to store private information. If you value your privacy above all else, DO NOT entrust it to a computer. If you value the privacy of your own home, you cannot leave any avenue open for invasion. Shut off and unplug your computer's power when you aren't using it. Incidentally, don't let HIPPA fool you. Just because our government made it illegal to improperly deseminate personal health information doesn't mean that it isn't going to happen. When you think about your privacy, think about that video of Tommy and Pamela Anderson-Lee. What happened to them, could happen to anybody.

Privacy is based on control of information. Control is an illusion. Therefore privacy is an illusion. When people realize this and accept that there is really is no such thing as privacy, only then will tolerance rule.
