Switching is that easy...
Avoiding big troubles like these are so easy as download a new internet browsing suite like Mozilla (With browser, e-mail client and more...), and a good firewall as ZoneAlarm (both freeware). Getting used to Mozilla was matter of half an hour. If you download the "lite" version (Mozilla Firefox), the time is reduced to 15 min. The same happens with e-mail client whether if you use mozilla's suite e-mail or mozilla's thunderbird, both of them with junk mail control, excellent HTML formatting and other powerful features. Advantages begin from the startup. No annoying pop-ups, tabbed browsing, less spam and the most important, lot more of security to make more comfortable your stay with "broken" Windows. For me, the remaining and big step is the plattform change, I hope it will be soon (Hmm... Mac or Linux, That's the question...)
