That's all very well and good...

I'd love to switch to a better OS that Windoze, but even without the funding issue there's the lack of cross-platform support.
I use way too many Win-only applications to simply switch to MacOS or Lin*x because someone has found yet ANOTHER problem.
And you know what I think?
I think the only reason these other OSes appear to be so perfect is because they don't have the same number of users as WinAnything. You stick 98% of the world's computer users on Lin*x and I'm pretty sure they'll find similar instabilities and programmers will find just as efficient methods of hacking the system.

I'm by no means a supporter of M$, in fact I think the monopoly they have over the market is disgusting, but I'm not going to sacrifice the things I want to do just to prove a point. If more companies stopped making single-platform programs then I'd consider switching, but not until.
