Virus writers are never caught.
Law enforcement doesn't give a damn about virus writers, DOS attacks, or any other computer crimes unless it affects businesses in a big way.

So if you cost businesses millions, the FBI might decide to come after you, or might not. If all you do is hack into someone's computer, but don't cause any monetary loss, you have nothing to fear from the law.

How many crackers have ever been charged with a crime, worldwide? Probably less than a dozen. That's why new viruses, worms, trojans and spyware and computer scams come out everyday--there are no consequences to breaking the law.

Have fun, script kiddies!
