Employee's need right to opt out of their info going to outsourced company
There needs to be some legislation that gives an employee the right to demand that an employer not provide personal information to any outsourced company, unless that company puts up a $1 million bond per employee against their information being compromised. Only then will these companies take the needed and often expensive means to protect people's personal information. Without it, the employee doesn't have any legal means to be compensated for the failure to protect the information. If the employee threatens to 'shoot' someone, then the employee gets in trouble but the people who by their negligence allowed the employee's information to escape aren't punished.
