When will we see real legislation to protect us from this?
Google needs to take some of the blame for not doing diligence on it's contractor, and there is no real teeth for forcing companies that deal in our personal information to do the right thing. It's a totally unregulated business, with no penalties for improper behavior. I want my data protected when it is being stored by someone else. Period.
