Relax, it'll be okay
Unplug your computer - yes, go and turn it off right now. Go to your door, your choice front or back, and go outside. Take a walk around the block. Breath deeply. Now, after that is done....

Life went on before the internet, and will continue. You know those funny looking things with small doors where that very archaic looking rectangular piece of folded paper goes? That's called 'the mail'. I know, I know, it's version 00.001x of the mail system, but yah know, it's pretty user friendly, and even when the power is out it all happens pretty seamlessly. And you can get those funny looking sticky pieces of paper that you afix to the envelope - those are called 'stamps' - at a variety of outlets.

So the internet falls apart - it's only really good for sending spam to users, users getting porn, and users looking for hook ups with other people and or living/dead/virtual whathaveyous. Oh, and free downloads of Linux or MS patches. Oh, and gaming. Okay - blogging and zdnet are there too.

So get over it - that part of the net won't change and in fact will probably continue to thrive.

Yep, I'm apathetic. No, I'm not ignorant - I realized from the start that the internet is a sewer, and not a place I want to have a long deep swim in.
