Not clear at all
---Alright, so let's make this real clear - don't download music
that you don't own. There, how's that?---

Not clear at all. If I buy a cd or a dvd, do I own the music/movie?
Or do I just own that copy of it? Or do I just own a license to
listen to it/view it? What do I get when I buy a cd?

---ALL of them will try to justify it somehow.---

Those few I know would answer with "because it's free", not "I'm
trying to make a political statement against the RIAA cartel."

---I don't consider iTunes to be a viable business model, until
all these online music stores standarize on the same DRM
scheme.---

Well, it is viable in that it is profitable, and it is making money
for the RIAA with very little effort on their part. As far as
standardizing DRM, I do think Apple will license FairPlay, but not
right away. They're capitalizing on the success of the iPod, and
using that as leverage to establish themselves in a new market.
Very Microsoft of them, but all perfectly legal.
