Are you sure you read the article right?
If anything, this pirating is STRENGTHENING the idea of the itms
because music from it CANNOT be shared. The record
companies are crazy to continue to sell CD's that have no
protection on them. They should stop it and tell people that
within 2 years, all new music will be sold in protected copyright
format.

If anything, it would create another technology boom and
perhaps loads of blank CD's because the only way to share an
itms song is to burn it onto a CD. The inconvenience would stop
lots of file sharers, wouldn't it?
