My rep and I calculated the risks and the odds of SP2 being breached. We came up with algorithms that would overwhelm most of the ZDNET crowd. One ratio was S=MSp2DN (Security = Microsoft x SP2 x .NET). When taking into account randomness and noise, the chances of an SP2 breach were essentially 0. My rep and I are convinced that SP2 is the most secure computing platform on the market today. I have deployed XP SP2 "servers" in my DMZ as file servers for some our Homeland Security customers.
