This is a non-issue...
...designed to get attention. Any Exchange admin with half a brain knows about the Guest account.

"Even if you think you've done everything (to secure the server), you are still open to spammers."

"Done everything" includes turning off or modifying the Guest account. If you're an Exchange admin and you start experiencing spam-related issues from the Guest account or ANY account, you turn off or modify the account, as you should have done when initially setting up the system or during any routine audit. Simple network administration. It's not like Microsoft is making a secret of the Guest account's access. The Guest account has specific uses, and it's turned off by default. This guy's rant is like announcing to the world that it's possible to completely destroy the system if you don't password-protect the administrator account. Duh!
