What the true issue is
If the real issue was simply a form of payment for something received (software, music, whatever) then there would hardly be an issue.

But let's face it, if a script is written so the exe files hide themselves in files all over your hard drive so you can't remove it if you want to, then that is no longer a benign or obligitory "service" as payment ... it is malicious intent.

If I invite someone into my home, they don't have the right to move in, rearrange the furniture and lock me in my room.

Most of these scripts litterally invade and co-opt your hard drive, registry and browser. They stop you from doing anythin with these other than what THEY want you to do.

And lately about 90% of the people I speak with have no choice but to reformat their drive and lose valuable time having to re-install patches, settings and software.

There is one particular nasty "TVMedia" that is impossible to remove with any anti-hacking software or even one's own spelunking into the registry.

If you see it on your PC and want to remove it ... better just reformat your HDD.

This is nothing else but malicious intent to force itself on you and your PC regardless of your wishes. And it is walking the razer's edge of being indistinguisable from a virus' intent.

The worst part is that due to this, the web will be strictly controlled and regulated in our time and a web agency like the FCC will soon control what we all can or can not do online.
