This time, it has little to do with Microsoft. This particular virus is using social engineering techniques to steal credit card information.

The only connection to Microsoft has to do with the fact that Microsoft Windows IS the dominant operating system and what - NINETY FIVE PERCENT of all PC's out there are running some flavor of Windows...

If xNix was as wildly popular, easy to use and broadly distributed as Windows was today, that virus counter would be much, MUCH higher. The fact that it's still not ready for "prime time" (i.e. on EVERYONE's desktop) makes it an unappealing target for the CRIMINALS and MISCREANTS out there who write the damn viruses and exploits. TWO PERCENT of the desktop market is hardly worth bothering with.
