This is the same kind of "I own your computer and your online time because I have an idea and I want to make some money" thinking that promulgated spyware in the first place. Who are these anything-in-the-name-of-a-dollar feebs who think that because you are online, they have a right to do anything to you that they wish to do? Do they realize that regardless of how they pretty up their ideas, they still come across like muggers? At the very least, they come across like people who think that because you ride public transportation, they have a right to read the contents of your wallet and/or briefcase and/or slap an advertising sticker on your back.
Someone at ZDNet either needs to quit drinking the Orwellian Kool-Aid, or get himself a job at Homeland Security where he can clearly be identified for being the kind of thinker he is. What's next? An article on the benefits of having RFID chips implanted in everyone in America?
(I'm sure the author is thinking "So, what's wrong with that idea?") - Posted by: jlg17 Posted on: 08/16/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
