ZDNet got it all wrong
First of all, this is not a virus as it doesn't spread by itself. It's a trojan deliberately included by the authors of the game: Ojom (http://www.ojom.com/).

The only way to get this trojan is to install the game yourself.

The company claims that they removed the trojan from the final version of the game, but to be safe, users should stay away from all software written by this company.
