So you bought a Windows computer, then bought a bunch of stuff that is compatible with it.

How does that make Linux inferior? Is your test of Linux "fitness for purpose" how well it can emulate Windows? Perhaps the Linux guys should apply the same test to see how well Windows can emulate Linux - it makes just as much sense.
