Dude, who cares??? Seriously...
I don't care who is the main company behind the idea. I don't even care what the idea is. I am all for fighting SPAM. Considering that I get, on average between my several mail accounts, about 400 pieces of SPAM a day, and a company I consult at gets about 2000-3000 SPAM mails a day (a 50 user company) I think anything would help.
Really, a better solution would be to find the companies behind the SPAM and allow us to sue them for thousands of dollars for every little piece of unwanted advertising we get.
Either that or charge internet postage like some have talked about. Give home users something like 300 a month free, but any person running a private mail server (i.e. company) is charged per message. Wasted e-mails would go way down, as well as SPAM.
