Don't be so sure!!!!
This may be a more effective deterant than you might think.

To be honest, if there is nothing to gain by sending out a virus other than to say "Hey, me so smart!!!" then why risk having your life screwed up. Did this guy make any money? And now how much is is going to be out, probably for the rest of his life?

I'd be more worried about a REAL coordinated attack be an individual or organization who was out to either cause harm to the economy or out for financial gain.

The days of propagating viruses as a cool prank while maybe not quite numbered, but certainly not sheek any more.

Maybe you're very skilled at this sort of thing, but really, would you write a virus and spread it just because you could do it, with no real reward?

I know I wouldn't. There's just nothing much to gain, and WAY to much to loose.
