But, as it turns out, the API is flexible enough that it can be used to interrogate the status of firewall and anti-virus products as long as the developers of those products support that sort of WMI-based interrogation."

Its also the reason Windows 2000 has an open RPC port, and it turns out its flexible enough to root a Windows machine.

Does this mean they don't plan on closing that port?
