This has not been targeted
and the flaw exists in a format that is not specifically targeting Linux. Or did you miss that part. This affects Mac OSX (So I would have to say it also affects FreeBSD since the OS X kernel is FreeBSD basd), Linux and Windows. IF this were targeting ONLY Linux, then MAYBE you would have some basis for your statement, but it ISN'T, this issue IS targeting an Open Source image format that is universally used across multiple platforms.
