If you fix the system, they will come
The Unix sytem is over 30 years old. For those us who remember, in the early days it was a joke, and not self-respecting MVS Programmer would even suggest using it. Too many Security problems. Too unstable. No standards. No patch management. Typically, we called Unix a dog pile back then.

In the 1990's many CIO's bought into Unix and we have had 10 hard years of audit and security processes and technical changes to bring it up to speed; i.e. like IBM's MVS (Worlds Greatest Operating System). So, before the Unix crowd crows, think what another 20 years of Windows maturity will be. After all, in less than 10 years (Win 3.1 doesn't count), Windows has 90% of the desktop business and is very close to being every bit as good a Unix. With 10,000 flavors, I should be able to find at least one that fits the Bill.
