"No physical force was used in obtaining the guilty verdict..."
So any police action that does not involve physical force should always be permitted? That's pure stupidity.

"For once, the guilty was not placed above the law and is doing time for murder."

Your comment reveals dreadful ignorance of one of our most fundamental legal rights.

The determination of guild was made AFTER the investigation was done. While the investigation was ongoing, the woman WAS NOT GUILTY. That's not an opinion, or a theory, it's automatically true for EVERYONE accused of a crime. Nobody's guilty just because the police think they are. That's our Constitution at work, by the way, so if you don't respect it, then you don't respect the Constitution and the Founders, so perhaps you should find a different country to live in.

The debate you're missing the point of is not that the woman was convicted. It's HOW the process took place.

Here's a simple analogy for you.

I want to go to the drug store and get my prescription. I can get there by walking down the street, or I can get there faster and easier by taking a cut through your back yard.

The outcome is the same, I end up at the pharmacy, so what's the difference?

You couldn't possibly object, because what I'm doing is important! I'm getting life-saving medication!

I never cease to be amazed by how many people have no clue what they're really losing when they give up their constitutional rights.
