How Naive? All happy until it happens to you.
I hate it when people say, "It's okay, because they're guilty." These rights that people so careless throw out were made to protect everyone!
Now, I'm not saying that the investigators did anything wrong in this particular case; However, they were pretty near the edge.
I'm still curious how the investigators knew about her searches for "polygraphs and the phrase 'decomposition of a body in water'."
Let's think of some scenarios.
Someone is killed on your street, and the killer might be someone on the street. The investigators put a tracking device on EVERYONE's car on the street.
Will you be happy because they're looking for the killer.
One step further.... They sneak into EVERYONE's house and check all of their web browsing, make a report for each person and pass it around the office for ideas.
Is that okay? they're still looking for the killer.

But wait... you were browsing for information on a Trip to Mexico!!! Maybe you're running away...
They arrest you and beat the hell out of you for a confession...
but that's okay, because their after the killer.

It's a slippery slope when personal rights are infringe upon for ANY reason.
