Two different things.
Mozilla is paying for serious bug information. That's paying for pointing out software issues.
Microsoft has a reward out for criminal behaviour.
Not exactly the same thing is it? As for flaming, some people would dispute Microsoft if it said the sun rises in the east. Which it does, it just doesn't belong to Bill Gates. If it did, a certain percentage of users would steal it, some would just pay, and others would build starships to go to another star. And brag that their planet is better after they got there. I'm glad to see this and to see it funded by what is, in essense, chump change. In the true spirit of open source this will probably work out just fine.
The Mozilla products have worked great for me. I'm glad to have a modern non-MS browser besides Opera as an alternative. (Nothing wrong with Opera, just glad to have another alternative). My Netscape 3.X Gold was not hacking it anymore.
The AOL Netscapes pretty much sucked it.
