Paradigm Shift
What a concept...rewards for finding security holes instead of rewards for finding people who exploit them. While I'll agree that there's a place for the latter, the former will do much more for creating a more secure computing environment. Going after offenders is only half the battle...leaving the holes that allowed the offenders to offend in the first place won't make anybody safer. And turning a blind eye to potential security holes until they are exploited on a massive level should be considered criminal. We no longer live in a world where poorly written software can't bankrupt a company, affect global logistics or even cause death.
