I have Vonage and Service was out
I do have Vonage and experienced the outage. We had no dial tone and I could not log on to my account for approximately two hours. However, I still am absolutely thrilled with the service that I have had for 2 1/2 months now and this outage is nothing. I am saving well over $50.00 a month in fees and I have saved even more in international calls. What I want to know is why CNET is so extrememly critical of VOIP service. I have not read one single positive, upbeat article about the current "successes" of VOIP. Only gloom and doom and "watch out" if you try it type of articles. Some of your writers better actually "try" the service for a few months before they write about them, becuase it sure doesnt sound like they have any "first hand" experience with the service. From my perspective it has been excellent so far. By the way, my wife called me on her cell phone to tell me the VOIP line was done. Either way I was paying for the cell phone regardless of whether or not the VOIP service was up.
