99.992% isn't too bad.
If their statistics are right (which I have no reason to doubt since I've had no problems making a call in the 6+ months I've had them), then their uptime is pretty close to the 5-9s for enterprise class systems. I've definitely had more outages with my cellular phone then I have with my Vonage service.

Given, I honestly cannot recall any down time with my traditional land line, but if Vonage can keep up with 1 hour outage every year and a half, I can happily accept that in leiu of the cost savings I get with them.
