I've been waiting for some company to take the backscatter imaging technology and create a low-cost open-air alternative for "commercial" use. It could be sold to companies like retailers who want the extra level of security, and even to "private interests" who want to satisfy their voyeuristic wet-dreams.

How's this for cross-marketing? A famous brand-name retailer installs these imagers in their stores to "control shoplifting" and then sells the videos of girls walking through to "Girls Gone Wild" ...
