This article should not be taken seriously with a sensationalist headline like that. I see no where that indicates Windows-based cash machines are easily hacked. Its all pure speculation and assumptions with no proof to back it up.

Key word here is usually but they don't say it IS Windows being hacked. And using terms "like a pc" doesn't put much faith into these claims either. As for the encryption and clear text, that is not the OS's job but that of the application developer. This article places blame on all the wrong things. Nothing more than someone trying to make a name for themselves by printing false information.
