Will they run Vista?
Are they upgradeable? One aspect is beyond stupid, despite the use of Windows, that is the non encryption of all but the PIN. My bank doesn't support more than 4 digit pins, so we are talking a joke in securing the data.

I think we need to take a glass half full stance though, 70% of the time, the ATMs are up! grin

Hmmm, maybe time to look at another OS, one that can be stripped to the bare minimum, is immune from viruses, running as non root so exploits become a don't care? Does something like this exist?
