Did you look at the site and compare the info there with what is reported?
First thing I noticed was that ZDNET said the site operator is some guy named Rick Wallace age 30. Go to the site and there is a picture of the a 52 year old guy named Glen.

Now I am 48 years old and interested in all kinds of computer stuff as a hobby and for business, but sifting through locations and files on P2P for documents. Got a bit of a problem for that expalnation. If he was searc hing for anything it was probably porn and found the documents he posts on his blog.

Now having said that there is no way to prove the info came off "military" laptops. Soldiers can take their own laptops when deployed and the soldoers do have access to the internet. Most of the documents appear to be admin docs and could be embarrassing to some but as far as the sensatioanl headline of military secrets, I don't think so.

What is to say some soldier stored the docs on his personnal computer then returned home not deleting them. I did not see any docs marked SECRET and some may be sensitive but I think this story amounts to too much about nothing.
