Guerrilla Warfare. . .
Is a war of attrition. There rarely are any major decisive blows until the end. The computer network is needed to create these kind of attacks, taking out your host computers defeats the purpose of having them. The only reason to do a takedown is if you don't want your hosts to fall into the hands of a rival computer gang. We've already seen that in the SkyNet - SoBig - MyDoom twittage.

You'll just have to hang in there with the rest of us until enough people get it through their thick, hard skulls that basic security must be followed.

I know of a local insurance office where the main computer is infested with so much of this stuff, it probably glows after dark.

The owner thinks that McAffee is enough protection, cannot understand after long discussions why the computer hosts all sorts of spyware and is virus infected as well. This computer has the database for all her insurance customers stored on it for heaven's sake and has broadband internet access as well. Talk about a major HIPAA type catastrophe. After several months, I really feel that the death of the owner or removal of her insurance resale agreement by the parent company is the only cure for the problem.
