MyDoom variant slams mailboxes

Where is the quality testing?: Viruses are nothing really new...What amazes me is that somehow we always seem to blame the same people (virus writers and users).

We kind of got used to do that and completely ignore the vendors resposability on this. Yes I'm talking about Microsoft. How many viruses and vulnerabilities will take until MS is forced to deliver better software?

It doesn't seem that they have much interest in providing quality and choose to create new products (XBox, Search Engines, etc). Would that be just because they have 90% of the market share?

I think that it's time for us to be more critical about the technology products we buy as we are getting more and more dependent on it. I already work the entire day with computers and the least I want is to come home and be concerned if my computer is infected or has spyware. My free time is valuable and recently made a switch to Mac, what a relief! Am I still vunereable?
