If you're a computer scientist specializing in security, you better
not because warning people of such things will only get you
fired, especially if the company you work for has MS as a client.

So, ok, maybe it is the "stupid" users. But you're living in the
same trailer park with them.
And now, those of us living in the more upscale Mac and Linux
neighborhoods now have to deal with your crap as well. It slops
through your broken fences onto the internet, slowing down
search engines.
This is exactly what Dr. Geer was trying to warn you about.
You're on the same platform so vulrabilities or weaknesses get
exposed and exploited faster, exponetially faster, and more and
more "smart" users suffer. An army of zombie PCs are now
poised and ready to exploit any weakness they can find and
they'll always find lots of that as long as everyone is using the
